  • Booking ahead is the best way to secure your spot—classes often fill up!

    To log in on our website:

    1. Go to our Schedule Page.

    2. Scroll down to see the listing of our classes. Click “Login”.

    3. If you're new, click “Join” and follow the steps to set up your profile.

    4. Once logged in, you can book classes with the “RESERVE” button, view your schedule, and manage your membership.

    To use our web app on your cell phone:

    1. Visit just-plain-yoga.recess.tv on your phone or browser.

    2. Save it to your home screen for quick access (it works just like an app—no download needed).

    3. Use your same login info to book classes, view recordings, and explore our Video On Demand library.

  • Arrive about 10–15 minutes early so you have time to find the studio, park, get settled, meet your teacher, and let us know if you have any injuries or questions. If you're running late, no stress—just enter quietly and join when you're ready.

  • You're welcome to bring your own mat, but we’ve got you covered if you don’t! We have mats for rent and props available for use at the studio. (Some students even bring a towel or blanket for extra comfort.)

    Mat Rentals are $2 if you pay cash and $2.38 with credit.

  • Welcome! We’re so glad you’re here. At Just Plain Yoga, we specialize in making yoga accessible, down-to-earth, and supportive for every body and every level.

    If you're just starting out, we recommend trying one of these beginner-friendly classes:

    🪑 Chair Yoga for Anybody (virtual only) – A gentle, supportive option that uses a chair for balance and ease.
    🧘‍♀️ Gentle Kripalu Yoga – Traditional yoga with a compassionate, slower-paced approach.
    🌞 Morning Slow Flow – A calm and steady way to build flexibility and mindfulness.
    🧘 Yin Yoga Chill – Great for stress relief and flexibility. Expect long, supported holds and a meditative vibe.
    💛 Just Plain Hatha or Just Plain Yoga – Both are all-levels classes with thoughtful instruction and options for beginners.
    🌀 Yoga for Backcare – Especially helpful if you’re managing pain, tightness, or want to learn safe alignment.

    Our instructors offer modifications and guidance to help you feel successful from day one—no flexibility or experience required!

    Need a little extra support?
    If you’re recovering from an injury or navigating specific health concerns, consider our Private Yoga sessions. We offer:

    • A 30-minute wellness assessment to help you get started safely.

    • One-on-one lessons (30–60 minutes) tailored to your needs and goals.

    At Just Plain Yoga, you’ll find a welcoming space filled with real people of all shapes, sizes, ages, and abilities—each on their own unique yoga journey. Our highly skilled instructors are here to support you, exactly where you are, with zero pressure and lots of encouragement.

    There’s no such thing as a “yoga body.” If you have a body and you’re breathing, you’re ready.

    Still feeling unsure? We totally get it. You’re welcome to schedule a private session—like personal training, but for yoga—to help you get comfortable at your own pace before joining a group class.

  • Wear anything you feel comfortable moving in! Yoga doesn't require fancy gear—just clothes that let you stretch, breathe, and relax.

    Here are a few tips:

    • Choose soft, breathable fabrics.

    • Leggings, joggers, or shorts with a t-shirt or tank work great.

    • Avoid clothing that’s too loose—it can get in the way during certain poses.

    • Layers are helpful! You may warm up during class and cool down during relaxation.

    We practice barefoot, but feel free to bring or wear grip socks if you prefer extra support.

    Still unsure? Just think “comfy and flexible”—like your future self!

  • Not at all! Flexibility is not a requirement—it’s a result.

    Yoga is about meeting yourself where you are, not forcing your body into a shape. Whether you can touch your toes or not, you’re in the right place. Over time, you may gain flexibility, strength, and balance—but the real goal is feeling better in your body and mind.

    Our instructors offer modifications for all levels, and you’re always encouraged to move at your own pace.

  • Welcome back! If you’ve practiced with us before, there’s a good chance your info is still in our system.

    To check:

    1. Go to our Schedule Page and scroll down to our daily listing of classes.

    2. Click the Log In button (top left).

    3. Try logging in with your email and select “Forgot Password” to reset your login.

    If you don’t receive a reset email, your account may have been archived—or your email might not be recognized. In that case, it’s totally fine to create a new account and start fresh.

  • It’s best to avoid heavy meals right before class. A light snack (like a banana or handful of nuts) an hour or two before is usually fine. You'll want to feel light, but not hungry.

  • That’s totally okay—and totally normal. We encourage everyone to listen to their body and modify as needed. Our instructors will offer options to help you feel supported throughout the class.

  • Yes! Taking a break is part of the practice. Whether it’s Child’s Pose, Savasana, or just sitting quietly, you’re always encouraged to pause and rest when needed.

  • We add a small processing fee to all purchases. This helps cover the cost of credit card transactions and the booking software that keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
