Heather Sharar, RYT 500
Teacher and Trauma Informed Supporter
Meet Heather Sharar, a remarkable individual with a passion for both leadership and yoga. Heather has served as the dedicated Executive Director of the Ambulance Association of Pennsylvania since 2006, and she's been at the helm of the Pennsylvania EMS Provider Foundation since 2007.
Her journey into the world of yoga began as a quest for personal wellness. Heather's profound appreciation for the practice blossomed from experiencing the transformative benefits of a consistent yoga routine. Initially, yoga was a vital tool that aided her in overcoming the challenge of quitting smoking.
In 2014, when a shoulder injury sidelined her from both yoga and her beloved cycling, Heather faced adversity head-on. Frustrated with conventional pharmaceutical approaches, she sought chiropractic care as a pathway to recovery. Through dedication and perseverance, she gradually reintroduced herself to a gentle yoga practice, eventually regaining the ability to engage in dynamic vinyasa sessions. This experience reinforced her unwavering belief in the ancient wisdom and teachings of yoga, encompassing the mind, body, and spirit.
Heather Sharar is a firm advocate for cross-training with yoga, recognizing its power in maintaining a strong core and enhancing balance in her physical body. As a yoga professional, she champions the importance of meditation for mental health and well-being, in conjunction with the physical asana practice. Heather embodies the fusion of leadership and yoga, embodying the harmonious integration of these disciplines to enhance all aspects of life.
